intaglio Definition: (noun) A figure or design carved into or beneath the surface of hard metal or stone; a printing process that uses an etched or engraved plate. Synonyms: diaglyph, gravure Usage: The intaglio print was so incredibly detailed that it almost looked like a photograph.
Thirty-five hundred years ago, the Hand of YHVH etched an inaglio into two tablets of stone -- the Torah. The prophets proclaimed that this intaglio of stone would become an intaglio on tablets of flesh -- namely the hearts of the believers.
In Hebrews 8, the fulfilment of Jeremiah 31, we read how YahShua's blood atonement and indwelling of the Ruach, allows a man to experience this intimate intaglio of Torah personally. What Yah etched into stone, He now etches into the human heart, causing us to inwardly love and cherish the Torah.
So, O pagan Christian, where exactly does the Torah get tossed?
In the First Covenant, the Torah intaglio is emblazened on stone. Under the ReNEWed Covenant, the SAME TORAH is etched onto our hearts, on our minds, embedded into our spirits.
If anything, under the ReNEWEd Covenant, we Yisraelities should be better able to maintain our obediance to Torah, because it is no longer merely etched in stone, it is etched on our innermost self.
The consummation of the ReNEWEd Covenant has not occurred yet. Hebrews 8 says the First Covenant is still passing away. Indeed, most Christians live under that First Covenant, beholding with their eyes the Torah intaglio of stone, but never experiecing the heart intalgio of Torah promised. Christians -- STOP LIVING UNDER THE OLD TESTAMENT!!!! :)
We read in Hebrews 8 that eventually every man will know YHVH with such an intimacy that no man will have to teach each other anymore, but all will know Yah from the least to the greatest. A time is coming in which the Torah intaglio of the heart will dominate this world, when Messiah rules and reigns with glory and power.
Make no mistake -- the Torah of Moshe aint going anywhere -- it is merely being etched deeper and deeper into world history.
First the Torah was etched into our conscience. In the time of Moshe, Yah etched it into tablets of stone. 2000 years ago, His blood etched the Torah into our hearts.
Soon, the Torah will be etched into world government.
Eventually, in the renewed heavens and renewed earth, Torah will be etched into the entire, renewed universe.
So what will it be -- submission to the Torah that is eternal -- or a refusal to live in reality and eventual destruction in the Lake of Fire?
