1767 AD -- First annual volume of The Nautical Almanac published, Daniel Boone goes through Cumberland Gap and reaches Kentucky, defying the Royal Proclamation of 1763 issued by Great Britain

 

1817 AD -- Mississippi Territory Split down the middle, first bicycle invented

 

1867 AD -- An artesian water spring begins to gush continuously in Michigan, USA breaks relations with the Vatican, blacks are given right to vote in Washington DC

 

1917 AD -- Britain makes Balfour Declaration proclaiming support for the “establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.”  Britain effectively defeats Ottoman rule over Palestine and Jerusalem, placing it in the hands of the West for the first time in thousands of years.  USA enters World War I.

 

1967 AD -- Jews take back Jerusalem for the first time in 2000 years!
